Ways we can work together.

I believe therapy is about more than understanding yourself.
Insight can help you recognise where your thoughts, feelings and patterns come from, but understanding something doesn’t always change it. You can know why you feel anxious, struggle with self-worth or repeat certain patterns and still feel stuck in them.
Our work goes beyond insight. It’s about taking what you discover in therapy and bringing it into real life, your relationships, choices, behaviours and the way you respond when things get difficult.
That might mean sitting with uncomfortable feelings, setting boundaries, changing a behaviour or making a different choice. There is no set formula. The work is different for everyone.
My role is to help you understand yourself more clearly and develop the awareness and confidence to make choices that feel more aligned with who you want to be.
For me, therapy is where insight meets real life.
Insight gives you the map. Integration is learning to use it. Change is taking a different route.
Ways we can work together.

1:1 Counselling
Counselling sessions are available weekly or fortnightly, depending on what feels right for you and how you want to work.
Sessions are available face to face in Plymouth or online across the UK, giving you flexibility around your routine and preferences.
50 minutes | £55

Focus Session
A Focus Session is a one-off 90-minute space to pause, make sense of what’s going on and get some clarity around what you need next.
It can be useful when something feels pressing, you’re facing a difficult decision, or you simply need more time than a standard counselling session to properly talk something through.
There’s no expectation of ongoing work. Just a focused, supportive session centred on what feels most important right now.

Therapeutic Coaching
If you’re looking for more clarity, confidence and a way forward that feels realistic, therapeutic coaching offers a space to work on what’s getting in the way.
We’ll explore the patterns, habits or beliefs that may be holding you back and focus on practical, meaningful change in your work, your personal life or both. The aim is not to push you into becoming someone else, but to help you move forward in a way that feels more aligned with who you are.

What the work looks like.
Understand what's going on.
We start by making sense of what has brought you to counselling, what feels difficult right now and the patterns that may be sitting underneath it. You do not need to arrive with everything figured out.

Explore what keeps you stuck.
Together, we look beyond the surface. That might mean exploring thoughts, emotions, past experiences, relationships or behaviours and understanding how they connect to what is happening now.

Bring it into real life.
Insight matters, but change happens outside the therapy room too. We work on taking what you discover and applying it to your relationships, choices, boundaries, behaviour and the way you respond when things get difficult.

Counselling for Men.
A lot of men spend years getting on with things, keeping busy and trying to deal with problems on their own. From the outside, life might look fine. Underneath, you may feel anxious, low, frustrated, disconnected or simply not like yourself.
I offer counselling for men who want a straightforward, human space to talk openly, understand what is going on and work through the things that may be keeping them stuck. This can include anxiety, stress, relationships, anger, self-worth, trauma and difficulty expressing how you feel.
Face-to-face counselling is available in Plymouth, with online counselling available across the UK.
