Mens mental health.
Most men don’t struggle because they’re incapable.
They struggle because they’ve had to carry things on their own for too long.
From early on, a lot of men learn to deal with things internally.
Push it down. Stay in control. Get on with it.
That works... until it doesn’t.
What builds underneath can start to show up as:
• Constant stress or pressure
• Anxiety or overthinking
• Anger or frustration
• Feeling flat, disconnected, or numb
• Falling into habits that don’t feel good anymore
• Struggles in relationships
It’s not always obvious.
A lot of men are still functioning, working, training, socialising, but something feels off.
Mens mental health isn’t just about crisis or diagnosis. It’s about how you handle pressure, emotions, relationships, and your sense of direction. Left unaddressed, things tend to tighten rather than resolve.
Right support creates space to actually deal with what’s going on, rather than just managing it.
If you’re in Plymouth or surrounding areas and looking for support with mens mental health, you’re not the only one trying to figure this out.
How I work with you.
I don’t offer a space where you just talk and leave.
I work with men to understand what’s actually going on underneath the surface, and then do something about it.
That usually means looking at:
• The patterns you keep repeating
• The ways you’ve learned to cope (even the ones that aren’t working anymore)
• What you avoid, suppress, or push through
• The beliefs you hold about yourself, even if you’ve never said them out loud
My approach is straightforward and grounded.
You’ll get:
• A space where you can speak openly without being judged or analysed
• Honest conversations, not overcomplicated, not clinical
• Clear direction when you feel stuck
• Practical ways to handle what’s coming up day-to-day
Some sessions will focus on understanding things more clearly. Others will be about changing how you respond in real situations, stress, relationships, habits, decisions. We go at a pace that works for you, but we don’t stay stuck.
If you’re looking for mens mental health therapy in Plymouth or online that actually leads somewhere, not just somewhere to offload, this is where that work starts.
